Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Tree Planting on The Green and Unveiling of the Plaque at Dolwen Field

To commemorate Her Majesty The Queen?s Diamond Jubilee, members of Llanwrtyd Town Council thought it would be a good idea to plant a tree on The Green.

To commemorate her year as Mayor, Councillor Carol Prichard has personally purchased the tree, a Weeping Flowering Crab Apple aptly named Royal Beauty, and you are invited to join her on the Green for the official planting of the tree on Sunday May 13th at 12.30pm.

This will be followed by the unveiling of the plaque at Dolwen Field, as the field has been dedicated to Fields in Trust and is now a Queen Elizabeth II Playing Field. This will ensure that the area remains a community facility for sport and leisure, and has also allowed us to apply for a grant towards upgrading the Diamond Jubilee Pavilion.

Please come along and join us in these early celebrations of this Jubilee year. Sunday May 13th 12.30pm on The Green
